95% Alumina Ceramic Saggar
What is a saggar made of?
Alumina ceramic saggar is a high-quality container made from alumina with a purity of 95%, designed for use in high-temperature applications such as laboratory research, ceramics, and industrial processes.
While it offers slightly lower purity than 99% alumina saggars, it still provides excellent thermal resistance and mechanical strength, capable of withstanding temperatures up to approximately 1600°C.
These saggars are primarily used in muffle furnaces, where they protect materials from contamination and help ensure uniform heating during processes like sintering, calcination, and melting.
Dimensions: 100×100×13mm
Wall Thickness: 9mm
Alumina Purity: >95%
Continuous operating temperature: ≤1600°C
Multiple saggars can be stacked and used together.

How to Use Alumina Saggar?
1. Before the first use, preheat the saggar in an oven at around 105°C for 120 minutes to remove moisture.
2. Do not directly heat the saggar with gasoline blowtorch, acetylene torch, or alcohol burner to avoid uneven heating and cracking of the product.
3. The heating or cooling rate should not be too fast. The temperature change below 1200°C should be <5°C/minute, and above 1200°C should be ≤4°C/minute.
4. The distance between the product and the heating element (such as carbon tube, silicon molybdenum rod, or heating wire, etc.) should be >2cm.
5. The bottom of saggars should preferably not directly contact the bottom of the furnace. It is recommended to use alumina foot pads or other heat-resistant materials to lift the saggar, forming air convection to prolong the service life of the product.
